What the app stores on your phone
- The timer lengths you set for each egg level.
- Which finish sound and which egg character you picked.
- If you add your own sound, a copy of that one audio file, kept in the app's private storage so it can play when your egg is ready.
This is used only to make the app work. It is never sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes it. Your phone's own backup (such as iCloud) may include it, under that service's terms.
What we collect
Nothing. Boil Buddy doesn't collect, transmit, sell or share personal information. It has no analytics, crash reporting, advertising or tracking tools, and we can't see how you use it.
Notifications
When a timer starts, the app schedules a notification on your phone so it can tell you when the egg is ready. These are local notifications created on your device. No server is involved and nothing leaves your phone. You can turn them off at any time in your phone's settings.
Your files
If you choose "Add my own sound", the system file picker opens. Boil Buddy can only see the one file you pick. It copies that file into its own storage and doesn't upload it anywhere. You can replace it at any time, and deleting the app removes it.
This website
These pages are plain text. They set no cookies, use no analytics and load nothing from other sites.
Children
Boil Buddy is suitable for all ages. It collects no information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
